1. What is your Vision for Rage Unfold?
Bozhidar: My vision is to expand the brand “Rage Unfold” globally and to form a physical band abroad, maybe in the US. Then, I would like to perform all of our songs live on the biggest stage possible, haha:)
Marie-Louise: My Vision for Rage Unfold - keep evolving – keep writing meaningful songs – keep our followers satisfied. When we began working together, I think around end of 2021, we just decided to write a Metal song. Then record it. We did – Chains (2022). And, we have kept on going. I see Rage Unfold as greater than us. More a movement rather than a virtual band. I see Rage Unfold gaining momentum and spreading throughout the world (positively impacting people). I see our songs as reflections of the times we are in. Delving deep into states of mind, triggered by our life experiences. Our songs must have meaning for us - then, you, our followers, can relate to them. We won’t use AI in the creation of our songs – this defeats our purpose. The Raw, The Real, The Remembered.
2. What have you built so far that is driving Rage Unfold?
Bozhidar: In my opinion, we have built a solid momentum. From 2022 till now, we have managed to release a couple of singles each year, and then we promoted all the tracks separately, which is remarkable! I want to continue with this momentum and to expand it globally!
Marie-Louise: We have built strong songs that we are equally invested in. With this comes a supportive following. I send Bozhidar lyrics, (around 5), then, he chooses. Bozhidar then makes changes to create meaning for him and to fit the structure, timing, rhyming, and mood he wants to achieve.
3. What is the most rewarding aspect of working together?
Bozhidar: The creative process and the feeling that you are not alone, after all. Despite working from a distance, thanks to today’s advanced technology, we manage to produce meaningful songs that reach the hearts of our audience. Also, the exchange of ideas and mutual support is a great means of pushing each other’s limits, which contributes to our individual development.
Marie-Louise: Bozhidar is the most dedicated and focused person I have worked with. This encourages me to keep improving, remaining curious and focused. Bozhidar is learning Jazz and Blues and working his vocals, these are other layers of inspiration for me. He aims to find musicians (outside of Bulgaria) to form a physical Rage Unfold. I am with him on this. Rage Unfold needs to evolve!
Long Live Rage Unfold

We let Omen loose on Friday 13 February 2026.Omen is devouring the airways and everything in its path! Watch your back. Hold onto your life. You can’t escape the intensity of Omen. It twists and turns and lures you into those places you want to avoid. The artwork is a print of a pencil sketch by Phynia Anastas, with red wool strings, and cut out letters added. We think it portrays the fear the Omen unleashes.
Hey Bozhidar, tell us about Omen’s birth and its destruction.
1. Give us an overview of Omen and what it means to you?
Omen is a powerful progressive heavy metal track. I tried to compose a melodic song with a powerful guitar riff that would attract the listener’s attention. I think that we managed to release quite a compelling product for the audience. For me, Omen is special, because I’ve experimented with the production and tried to make it more modern sounding – with VOX guitar effects, etc. Also, the time signatures change, which makes the song more interesting for the fans.
2. What were your guitar highlights?
I really like the guitar riff and also my 2 solos, which are quite complex and powerful. This song is not that hard to play on the guitar as the previous one, but it’s more melodic, which was my ultimate goal.
3. Omen is meshed together skillfully. How did you manage to achieve different guitar sections, that fit so naturally together, yet oppose each other?
I just relied on my ears – that is the best tool to trust when it comes down to composing music. I also used more of my imagination in order to make the song interesting and energetic.
4. Fill us in on the video creation.
It was a very long process and I tried to maximize the full potential of what I had at my disposal. Due to the geographic constraints (as the vocalist is located in Germany, and I’m in Bulgaria), it was quite hard to mix everything together in one video, but I think that this one is the best of all so far. Also, I had to put a lot of time into pre-production, like choosing a location (in our case, a building) and then I used a green screen, so I could blend my takes and Siggi’s video takes. By the way, when I filmed the video outside it was quite cold, but “everything has a price”!
5. Omen feels like a pivotal song for Rage Unfold. Can you comment on this?
It is indeed, because of the new approaches that we implemented in our work. From the recording process to the mixing and mastering stage and also the “shooting the video” stage. Also, we are currently experimenting with the promotion of the song, and we’re trying out new methods of reaching more and more people, expanding our fan base and, so far – everything is working quite well!
Now to end with lines from Omen:
"Left of Suez Canal
Drifting, escaping
This ominous void
With the Omen
Breathing down my neck
With cliff hanging hate
With sharp intent
Minus the trust
Fueled by instinct"
Until next time ….. play on & amp up.
Hi Siggi, we are all really interested in knowing more about you.
1.Tell us about yourself. At what age did Metal capture your soul? When did you first start playing an instrument and singing? What bands you were in, and where you have toured in the world? And, anything else you want to tell us.
First of all, I want to say hi to all fellow metalheads and friends of great, handmade music! Great to see that hard work and dedication will find its way to the heart of the fans, like it is the case with Bozhidar’s music!
About myself: With 14, I started listening to Metal like Manowar, Black Sabbath, Priest etc. and it did not take much time that I have picked up the guitar myself. I started practising many hours a day, but something drew me towards the great vocalists. I took classical lessons both in guitar and singing.
My career as a metal-singer started with the band MessengeR. We have released several albums and have toured Europe both as support for Blaze Bayley and a few years later with Primal Fear. During this time I also was the frontman of an Iron-Maiden Tribute-Band. After a long time on stage as a singer, I have founded the Pagan Powermetal-band Skaldhammer where I play guitar.
2.What are your thoughts on working with Rage Unfold and, more precisely, working with Bozhidar?
It’s great working with a musician who knows what he’s doing on his instrument. His music is a mix between classical powermetal and progressive style, which is great for me as a singer to be creative with the vocal lines and expand Bozhidar’s ideas. What I also like is that he exactly knows what he wants for his music. He sang a lot of vocal lines and ideas for the pilot tracks which is a great way to collaborate. No need for explanations if you are able to show the direction.
3.I write the lyrics and then Bozhidar works them, infusing them with his ideas and energy. It’s a truly collaborative approach. How do the lyrics impact you and your delivery of the songs?
I absolutely love working with existing lyrics. It gives me the opportunity of being solely focused on my work as a singer and serving or completing the writer’s vision with my voice. I believe that words have a certain power which is rooted in our culture. The magic of the words, so to speak. And this magic will inspire myself as a singer to have a connection to the deeper meaning of the whole artform.
4.Your vocal range is amazing. The power you inject into our songs is impressive. What is your favourite Rage Unfold song and why?
It is indeed the newest song “Omen”, because I was able to use a lot of different colours of my voice. From soft parts to powermetal vocals, high pitched screams and even Death-like shoutings and growls – it was great fun to work with Bozhidar’s ideas.

Hey Bozhidar; Let’s wrap up the year 2025 and lay it to rest, Rage Unfold style.
1.Remind us of the songs we released in 2025. What, for you was the highlight or difficulty musically in each song?
We have released 2 new songs – “True Warriors” and “My Division”. The first one depicts the horror that all soldiers experience on the battlefield. The second song is about the inner battle. It is a very complex song with many time signatures, which was quite challenging to compose.
2.Besides Rage Unfold, what were the highlights of your other ventures?
I made a significant progress with my other YouTube channel and my other band – “Karma Incident”. I have released some new singles and I had 12 gigs, which was fantastic!
3.What have you planned for 2026? Let our followers know the concept of our next song (which is at the very preliminary stage – observation and getting ideas down).
Currently, we are working on a new song, called “Omen”. It is going to be released quite soon, so stay tuned! It is a very strong song with compelling lyrics! More songs to come in the upcoming year!
To end 2025: some 2025 press quotes;

My Division doesn’t offer peace of mind—it leaves you tangled in the same fight it describes and strangely, that’s what makes it work.
Thank you Friends of Rage Unfold, for journeying with us through, The Raw, The Real, The Remembered. Without you our purpose diminishes.
All the best for 2026 ….. Play on & amp up
1. You were probably surprised when I wanted your old art that you were throwing
out. My Division painting works so well with the song. Tell us about it.
The painting from my division was done over 20 years ago, back when I was at TAFE. I can’t
quite remember what the project was about, but I think it had something to do with exploring
form and perspective. There was also a focus on colour contrast and the broken look of the
frames, which, looking back, were probably influenced by the events of September 11.
I see it as a pretty striking piece—not so much about technical accuracy, but more about
expression. As an artist, I’ve always been interested in contrast—light and shade, both in
nature and in the man-made world. This image, to me, shows something that feels desolate
but still strangely beautiful—in a rough, broken-down kind of way.
I also feel the composition suggests some kind of physical barriers or boundaries, which is
why it ended up working so well as the album art for My Division.
2. Ben from Bitches Brew in Fremantle suggested the mounted lettering to produce a
bold shadow effect. You were involved in the positioning of the letters. What’s your
opinion on this result?
I played around with the lettering a bit before settling on the final version. I liked the idea of
the text fitting into the form of the artwork, but also having some of the letters slightly skewed
to reflect that sense of division—and to tie in with the themes of the song.
Using Ben’s 3D shapes for the lettering really made a big difference to the overall
composition. Without that, the text probably would've gotten lost in the image. But in this
version, the letters feel like they’re part of the artwork while still being bold enough to stand
out.
3. Give us a little of your artist background.
I studied art at university and TAFE about 20 years ago, but I actually haven’t done any
visual art in quite a while. These days, most of my creative energy goes into my work as a
professional belly dance artist, and I also work as a drama teacher at a specialist performing
arts school—so my focus has shifted more toward performance and teaching.
That’s why it’s really nice to see a piece I created in my early 20s being brought back to life
and repurposed to support other artists—like Rage Unfold. It feels meaningful to have old
work find new relevance.
4. For Omen we chose a pencil sketch of a guy with his hand held next to his face,
palm outward and fingers spread, as if he is pushing something invisible away. Tell us
about this.
I’d actually completely forgotten about this piece of artwork I created! There’s something
about the expression on the man’s face, and especially the perspective of the hand — he’s
almost using it to shield himself from something, but it’s unclear what. Theres definitely a
sense that he’s trying to distance himself — from something emotional, spiritual, or maybe
even supernatural. That feels like it ties into ideas of ritual, stigmata and superstition, that
really suits the song Omen by Rage Unfold. I can’t wait to hear it paired with the artwork.
We are keeping you in suspense about Omen.
More to come in the near future.
Until next time ….. play on & amp up.
My Division is finding its way through the world and we are now working on Omen.Backstory of Omen ,,, lyrics instigated by a haunting experience in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Omen is now in the hands of Bozhidar; composing, finessing, and draping his music over my lyrics, alchemising them into song.
Behind the scenes with Bozhidar.
1.Hey Bozhidar, what is your interpretation of Omen? What musical direction are you taking?
It will be a more traditional song – not that complex like “My Division”. I plan to be a more melodic song, but also a piece of music that will sound heavy and punchy. Let’s see how things will pan out from now on, but stay tuned, because it will be a very powerful song!
2.In your expansive musical world, Karma Incident, (lead guitarist), and your Bozhidar Popov YouTube channel, what can we look forward to?
We ( Karma Incident ) will release an EP consisting of 7 or 8 songs quite soon, hopefully towards the end of this year, or early next year. Also, I’m currently working on a very difficult jazz instrumental. I’ll be done soon, so I feel quite excited about it.
3.What skills you learning right now?
I'm currently focused on jazz, as well as speed-building techniques - playing is both fast and very clean. This is very difficult to achieve and requires many hours of practice.
4.When can we expect Omen to be unleashed; in all its glory?
It’s hard to tell yet. Maybe early next year! Stay tuned and follow our social platforms for more information!
Now to end with lines from My Division;
There’s no repair now I can make
No further pain now I can take
I see it from a distance
I can’t make it to the other side
Until next time ….. play on & amp up.
Over to you Bozhidar.
1.Hey Bozhidar, How do you feel now that My Division has been released?
I feel relieved and satisfied that we were able to successfully release the song. It was a lot of work, so I'm happy with the end result.
2.Describe your thoughts on what My Division means to you?
I describe the song as an internal battle. It can have different interpretations for listeners, which is always good. In my opinion, it is a captivating song with a strong instrumental and a deep lyrical message to the audience.
3.In some detail, enlighten us on the music elements of My Division; what makes this song powerful? How do Siggi’s vocals amplify the emotions of My Division?
The whole composition contributes to the powerful energy of the song. The guitars are tuned down a whole step, which makes them sound quite heavy. The drums are quite fast and intriguing, and the vocals fit into the mix quite well. I think our singer managed to interpret the vocal melody very well and delivered powerful vocals that stay in your head forever.
4.How did you construct the video and how was this process?
I wanted to approach it differently this time. I just didn't use artificial intelligence, I mean not in the same way as in the previous videos. This resulted in a different video that depicts more natural phenomena and tells an interesting story. It was a lot of work, but I'm happy with it. I hope the next one will be even better!
Now to end with lines from My Division;
Welcome to My Division
This incision
Is bleeding isolation
Welcome to My Division
No decision will be turned into salvation
Until next time ….. play on & amp up.
Time marches on. We are in the midst of creating our next song.
It is dangerously different to our previous songs.
Here we go ,,, Behind the Scenes with Bozhidar.
1.Hey Bozhidar, tell our readers about our next song ,,, the lyrics ,,, the music ,,, and the overall mood of the song.
The next song will be a fast one. It is called “My Division”. The lyrics are complex, the composition is also quite tricky with very fast and modern metal riffs. The guitars will sound very heavy due to their tuning. As for the mood, I’ll let the listener to decide, one thing is sure – it will be a groovy song!
2.Where did your inspiration arise from?
It did arise from other metal bands, playing in lower tuning and also from my personal desire of inspiration. I want to experiment, because this is the only way to get better at what you are doing!
3.At the time of writing these questions, I am still in the dark about this song. I sent Bozhidar a selection of lyrics and left him to create. It’s a secretive process (but it works).
Bozhidar, have you achieved what you intended with this song?
So far, I have made a substantial progress with the song. I still have to finish the composition, but I’m already done with the structure of the song, which is a very positive sign!
Now for the Grit ……. (what makes you tick)
What is it that drives you to write songs, perform live and keep on improving?
The answer is very simple : My dreams!
Until next time ….. play on & amp up.
1. Hey Bozhidar, True Warriors is finally out, tell us about your vision for the song and how you achieved it?
My idea behind the song was to portray the horror that all soldiers go through on the battlefield. So many lives are wasted in vain and these people/warriors – they also have families, friends, dreams, but on the other hand – they are forced to fight and die in a rather dramatic and merciless way because their mission is either to defend their land or to attack and plunder.
2 .Hey Bozhidar, What sections of True Warriors were the most difficult to perform and why? What were you aiming to achieve in terms of musical atmosphere/mood in these sections?
There weren’t any difficult sections in my opinion. The song is not complicated, it has simple guitar riffs, but I have added many harmonies and the vocalist did the same, which resulted in a very good production and composition. I was aiming at a dramatic atmosphere that represents the fighting spirit of the soldiers. I hope I have managed to achieve it.
3 .You recently added Secrets Revealed (Learn to play this Solo # Chains), on our, Rage Unfold, You Tube channel. What is your aim for future videos of this kind on our channel?
To be honest with you – I was experimenting. This was my first solo song I composed, so I wanted to share it with the audience. The more songs we produce, the more material I will have to make similar videos on our YouTube channel.
4 .We would love to know what song is next?
The next song will be fast and very quietly different from the others. The guitar tuning will be a whole step down, which will give a heavy mood to the song. Also, the whole composition will be more complex, with some hard/modern metal riffs that consist of catchy chord progressions with added tensions.
Now to the end with lines from True Warriors;
We’re true warriors – for our land with the hope to prevail we fight,
We’re true warriors – with a gun in the hand here we stand and sigh,
We’re true warriors – is the thought that we hold, but tonight we might die…
